  • Lexi | ORC

My name is Alexa (Lexi) Kleinjans. I have been married to my amazing husband Brad since 2015. God has blessed us with three beautiful children, Isabella, Wade, and Abel. We have been members of Ottawa since Spring of 2021 and it has been such a blessing to be a part of this church family. I enjoy gardening, running, and cooking. Most of all I love spending my free time with my family. Being able to use the gifts that God has blessed me with to serve the children of His church is such a gift! I pray that He continues to use me to spread His love and His word.

They are also blessed with four grandchildren, Jack Schippers, Breslin Schippers, Brayden Van Buren, and Haley Van Buren and in-laws Jamison Schippers and Karla (Kooiker) Van Buren. Kids Hope Kids Hope USA is a partnership that builds bridges between churches and their local elementary schools. Our goal is to help children at the time in their lives when values are formed, self-esteem is developed, and basic academic skills are acquired. The Bible makes it clear that there are a wide variety of “gifts” given to believers by the Holy Spirit, I Corinthians 12 and Romans 12. One of these gifts is the gift of “service” Romans 12:7. “Service” has a wide meaning, but it means “doing for others what they cannot do for themselves.” There will always be people who need help because their physical and/or financial circumstances do not allow them to do the tasks for themselves. Our members and neighbors look to the church for our help. That's where Tool Time Ministries comes in. Prayer Journey Ministry Who would like to be prayed for? Who would like to pray for someone else? Everyone benefits when we pray! Our congregation has many young people, young families, those in the “in-between years”,and ages on up to our Wit & Wisdom members. This is an invitation to be a part of a new Prayer Journey Ministry. We encourage you to fill out the information on the form attached and place it in the Prayer Jar located in the Lobby. After a few weeks, names will be drawn randomly and paired up as prayer partners. You will be contacted, and your prayer journey will begin. The Prayer Jar will remain, and as more names are submitted, we will group more partners together. Remember, this is for all ages and all stages of life! We hope that this will help build relationships, friendships, possible mentoring, and above all, show us how God will work through the power of prayer! Any questions, please contact Mary Lutke or Bonnie Assink. “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5:16-18 Wit & Wisdom The Wit & Wisdom group is open to anyone who is "retired" (62 or over) and would like a place to plug in and get to know some of the other Seniors at Ottawa. We have a diverse group of people attending our events; couples, singles, widowed, or some have a spouse that doesn't care to attend. We're sure you'll feel comfortable no matter what situation you're in. We offer an assortment of events that we enjoy. Some are outings and some are held right at Ottawa Reformed Church. If you can only come to a specific event or two, or all of them, we'd love to get to know you better as we enjoy fun and fellowship together. Watch our church bulletin, calendar, and/or the west bulletin board in the church's lobby for details on upcoming events!
