GEMS - Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior Ottawa Reformed GEMS invites girls in 2nd-6th grades who are hungry for truth to venture with us! We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM in the GRACE Center from September 16, 2026, through March 31, 2027. Please see our church calendar for exact dates. This year’s theme is “Wayfinder: Following the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” Girls everywhere are being led astray by dangerous cultural trail signs such as "Follow your heart, Speak your own truth, Be you." Wayfinder: Following the Way, the Truth, and the Life teaches us that Jesus is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). We will be equipped to navigate life with the living Word of God as our trustworthy compass! Special activities include a fall pumpkin walk, badge-earning, craft projects, the Pinewood Derby, and more! Cadets The Ottawa Reformed Cadets is for boys in 2nd-6th grades. Our Cadet ministry is led by a committed group of men who maintain a goal of leading boys to walk in the light of Jesus Christ. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM in the GRACE Center from September 16, 2026, through March 31, 2027. Please see our church calendar for exact dates. Activities include a lesson from our Quest Bible Lesson and time used to earn badges, build crafts, or explore God's creation. Special events include camping trips, Fall Fun Fest, Snow Derby, and the Pinewood Derby. The official sport of our Cadet group is Dodgeball! Kids' Archery League meets on Tuesday evenings from January to February. We meet in the GRACE Center gym from 6:30-7:30 PM. Bring your own compound or traditional bow or use one of ours! Kids' Archery League Bibles & Bows involves archery & Bible study! All adults and children 10 years old and older accompanied by an adult are welcome to come shoot. Following the “bows”, any or all persons that came to shoot are encouraged to join us in studying God’s Word. Join us for six weeks on Tuesday evenings in the GRACE Center gym. Bibles & Bows meet February to April. Archery is from 6:30-7:15, Bible Study from 7:15-8:00. Pastor Mike is teaching from "Parables: The Greatest Stories Ever Told". We hope you will join us! Dance class is for boys and girls, ages 5 and up. All skill levels are welcome to join. This is a fun class that helps kids learn gymnastics skills, dance technique, social skills - all while worshiping Jesus Christ! ORC Players ORC Players is not currently meeting. The Ottawa Reformed Church Players is a collection of youth and young adults that express their love for Christ through acting, dance and song. The group consists of up to 30 people between the ages of 5 through early 20's. The make-up is not only members and friends of ORC but, also represents kids from surrounding communities. The group puts on a number of different types of quality performances throughout the year. Shows range from full scale plays with singing and dancing at local theaters, to smaller performances during church worship services. ORC Players is open to any youth with or without experience. The group consists of a nice combination of experienced actors and actresses, and people with little to no experience. No auditions needed - just the desire to have fun & entertain!

Lori was born in Western Michigan and has made that her home. She is a mom of four adult children and has 4 grandchildren. She has been the Kids Hope USA director at Ottawa Reformed Church and Roosevelt Elementary School in Zeeland for over 21 years. Her life experiences have shaped her heart for people, and God is using this through KHU. Her primary responsibilities are to share the passion and vision of Kids Hope USA with Ottawa's members, recruiting, training and encouraging them as they meet and mentor with at-risk children at Roosevelt School and connecting with the KHU children and their families, reaching out to them through the love of Christ and His church. She enjoys her family, reading, traveling and meeting new people.

My name is Brad Kleinjans. I was born and raised right here in west Michigan. I graduated from Hudsonville High School in 2006. The LORD sent me the most beautiful woman, Lexi, who I have been married to since 2015. She kept me rooted here, and we have a beautiful family of 5. Isabella, Wade, and Abel are our 3 children who truly dictate our lives. Being a dad and a husband has been the greatest blessing of my life. I love to be with my wife and kids, and I also love to fellowship with good friends and family. My wife has taught me to be hospitable, and I love being around people. I like watching sports and being outdoors, but I like hunting deer the most. There is no adrenaline rush quite comparable that I have found. I was a 4th generation roofer, and I have been roofing houses since I was a kid. But I was given the gift of gab, and I can’t help but talk, and talk loudly. I combine that with my passion for Jesus, and ministry seems to fit right in my holster. The LORD has put ministry in my heart for years, and I now have the opportunity to relate to students and people in general, so that the LORD can use me as a tool to draw his chosen closer to Him. I’m excited for this next chapter, and all it entails.

We are excited to share that on Sunday, April 6, 2025, we broke ground on our new sanctuary! It is our prayer that God will bless this endeavor and that this addition will bless our members and the surrounding community.
